In the middle part of Area 1, a hidden Winged Cloud which reveals a switch can be found in the recess. Activate the switch to reveal the entrance to A, leading to a Bonus Area with 37 coins.
By jumping to the left from the Paddle Wheel at the highest point in Area 1, you can enter Area 2 through the entrance at C behind the leaf.
