5-3: Shy Guy Limbo

Area 1 ×1

• Appear at ★2 when the final Mystery Switch is activated.

Area 2 ×2

Pound the ground on the platform to the right of the Banana in the area with scattered small platforms in the middle part.
• Above the cloud in the later part.

Area 1 ×11

• Drop by the first Lakitu ×5
• Just past the first flower.
• Inside a bubble just right of the second flower.
• Inside the Mystery Ball that appears when reaching ★1 in the area with a cluster of Surprise Balls in the center.
• At the bottom step of the staircase-like area in the later part, break the Mystery Ball and collect the Heart Coin.
• Pound the ground at where Heart Coin was.
• Inside the Mystery Ball after the staircase-like area in the later part.

Bonus Area ×7

• Prize for the Broad Jump ×7

Area 2 ×12

• Inside a bubble just past the entrance.
• Pound the ground just past Miss Warp 3, where three coins are arranged, to reveal the Mystery Switch. Then, activate it to reveal the clouds and break the bubbles high above ×2
• Carried by Flying Shy Guys in the area with scattered small platforms in the middle part ×2
• Pound the ground on the wide central platform in the area with scattered small platforms in the middle part.
• Defeat the four Flying Shy Guys that appear after passing the area with scattered small platforms in the middle part, all at once with an egg.
• Inside a bubble below the cloud in the later part.
• Inside a bubble above the top-left cloud in the last cloud area.
• Pound the ground on the top-right cloud in the last cloud area.
• Carried by a Flying Shy Guy in the later part.
• Inside a bubble in the later part.

Point 1 (Area 1)

Lakitu drops either a steel ball or a melon randomly. If five melons are dropped, it will disappear off-screen and will not return.

Moving forward with Lakitu might cause the melon to fall into a hole. Therefore, it's safer to wait at the far left of the area and wait until Lakitu drops five melons. (Yoshi reaches the first hole to start Lakitu moving, then goes back to the left and waits.) As long as Yoshi remains still, Lakitu will only act within the current screen. Furthermore, if Yoshi is at the far left, the steel ball won't hit. It may take a bit more time, but it's a safe way to collect the melons.

Point 2 (Bonus Area)

Play the Broad Jump. Once you start, ride the wind from the Cloud Puffer and soar high into the air. Then hold the right on the control stick while performing a flutter jump to move forward. When Yoshi reaches the highest point of the jump, press the A button again to execute a consecutive flutter jump.
